Traditional musicians from Northumberland
For 20 years we have provided music for dancing and listening all over the North East of England. Our music is from Scotland, Ireland, Northumberland, Scandinavia and beyond, expertly performed on traditional instruments. Our music is uplifting, perfect for dancing and great just to listen to.

Celebrate your special day with music and dancing you’ll never forget.
A wedding ceilidh band means a fantastic fun party at your wedding reception and is a great way to meet the rest of the family. Our caller can explain every detail at a pace where everyone can join in. Northern Lights can take care of your first dance as well, either playing the recording through our PA system, or playing live if you’d prefer to dance to a traditional tune.

Birthdays, weddings, retirements and any private or public event
We will discuss your event with you to make sure everything runs smoothly. Supper breaks and speeches can easily be built into the timetable. We can provide a microphone for your use and background music when required. For those who have not been to a ceilidh before, or who ‘don’t dance’, our caller will guide you through the steps so everyone can join in and have a great evening
